A1 Auto Auction conducts six lien sales per week of vehicles impounded by the San Jose Police Department, Santa County Sheriff and California Highway Patrol. These sales are open to the public, however; all vehicles are sold in as is condition and may not comply with California and Federal emission standards. As a condition of sale the buyer agrees to bring vehicles into compliance and register them or scrap non complying vehicles.
